Tiger Care Closet 

 

The Care Closet provides access to basic hygiene and academic needs such as soaps, deodorants, school supplies, backpacks, etc. A list of products can be found in the gallery section of this folder. Similarly, any product that is not listed but is needed can be attained by contacting Kathleen Bell.  Products are available for students throughout the school day; however, arrangements before or after the school day can be made to assist in student comfort.

The Tiger Boutique

The Tiger Boutique allows students access to clothing for any occasion. Clothing is available in sizes ranging from youth extra small to adult double XL, depending on the type of garment. Casual wear, including Tiger gear, is attainable, as well as formal dresses and men's suits. The boutique also has jackets, sweatshirts, winter coats, and other cold-weather garments like hats and mittens. If any garment is needed but not available in the desired size, contact the Community Liaison, Kathleen Bell, to assist in acquiring the correct size. The boutique also accepts donations throughout the school year.

Care and Share Food Program

The Care and Share Food Program provides food for families free of charge once a week for a month for the entire school year. The food sent home includes all nonperishable items sent home to be prepared over the weekend as needed. These items can include cereal, tuna, spaghetti and sauce, canned fruits and vegetables, canned meat, rice, beans, and/or soup. Families can be enrolled in the program anytime during the school year. If you and your family are interested in enrolling in this program, please contact Kathleen Bell.

McKinney-Vento

Districts may provide school supplies, clothing, and other cost assistance for students and families that qualify as "homeless." Eligibility includes students who lack fixed, regular, or adequate nighttime residency. Contact the district's McKinney-Vento Liaison, Kathleen Bell, for information or to apply.
