ABOUT URGSD STUDENT & FAMILY RESOURCES
The Upper Rio Grande School District is proud to offer multiple resources to help students and families in the district. The purpose of this website is provide information to the community about all the resource programs we offer for themselves and their student. The website also allows for discrete contact with the districts Community Liaison in order to help families and students to the best of our ability. Along with the resources provided by the school district, there is also information for valley-wide resources available for students and families.
About Me.
Greetings,
Some may know me as Kathleen Martinez; others may not know me at all. Either way, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Kathleen Bell, and I am the Upper Rio Grande School Districts Community Liaison. I am so excited to be a part of the Tiger Team and even more excited to help the students and families in our beautiful community.
My goal is to create a space for community members, students, and staff in our district to unite and build a better society. One way of accomplishing this is by providing a space for community members to collect information on how the school is available to help its students and families. Another goal is to destigmatize how asking for help makes us feel. As someone who still struggles with asking for help when I need it, I understand how pride can affect the outcome of our goals. However, there is no shame in needing somebody to lean on. As Bill Withers said, “for no one can fill those needs that you won't show" help me create a community proud to help those in need and never afraid to ask for help.

I graduated from Adams State University with a BS in Cellular Molecular Biology with a AA in Psychology. I enjoyed my studies and gained valuable organization and communication skills.

I have grown up in this community, and I am happy to help it grow. My parents and siblings are all Del Norte School District alumni, and I am proud of the education I received from this district.
